Job Summary:Academic Resource Center (ARC) peer tutors facilitate student success by helping students develop effective academic habits and understand challenging subject-related content.
Reports To:Ashley Mallett
Education/Qualifications:•Good Conduct and Academic Standing with the college
•Gillette College Student currently enrolled
•Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater
•Ability to communicate effectively in individual and group settings
•Ability to work effectively with different types of learners
•Ability to communicate academic content to learners
•Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
•Must be able to stand for 30 minutes at a time and deliver lessons to 1-10 students

Responsibility/Duty:•Work with a wide array of students at varying skill levels
•Assist multiple students simultaneously
•Greet ARC visitors/clients and assist students with scheduling appointments online
•Help students understand subject-related concepts and facilitate student learning
•Complete tutoring session form upon completion of each session
•Develop and deliver workshop presentations as assigned
•Attend all required trainings and staff meetings
•Maintain confidentially as specified by FERPA
•Maintain regular attendance according to scheduled hours
•Perform duties with punctuality and professionalism
•Communicate with supervisor regarding anticipated absences
•Relay concerns to supervisor
•Complete projects assigned by supervisor
