Job Responsibilities
The full-time instructor will carry a full teaching load consisting of all computer technology courses offered at NETC. The instructor will teach using a variety of delivery modalities (face-to-face, broadcast and online) at any of NETC's campuses, including prison programs. The instructor will also advise students in planning course selections each semester, participate in college events, recruitment, professional development activities, and maintain a minimum of 8 office hours per week.
Minimum and Additional RequirementsMaster's Degree, including 18 graduate hours in Computer Programming Technology.
Preferred QualificationsExperienced programmer in XML, Javascript, CSS, HTML5, other modern languages, and Cyber security. Previous teaching experience at community/technical colleges, high schools, industries, and/or prisons. Experience using a variety of teaching modalities (face-to-face, broadcast and online).
Additional CommentsThe teaching environment includes classroom and lab. Teaching locations include partner High Schools, State, Federal and Juvenile Correction facilities, community campuses, and industry partners. Valid Driver's License required.
