The East Carolina University College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a full-time tenured, tenure-track or fixed-term faculty position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate interest and expertise in psych/mental health nursing. Faculty responsibilities include planning, teaching, and evaluating theory, lab and clinical courses; that may include classroom/didactic, lab and/or clinical instruction and online teaching using the University’s approved learning management system.Minimum Education/Experience
• Tenured and tenure track positions require a doctorate in nursing or related field, from an appropriately accredited institution. Fixed-term requires a minimum of a Master’s degree in nursing from an appropriately accredited institution.
• A valid non-restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment.
• Knowledge of psychiatric/mental health nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing.
A valid non-restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment.Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
• Theoretical understanding of teaching and learning; interest and ability to pursue research and scholarly activity.
• Experience in teaching pre-licensure nursing students.
• Current CNE certification.
