The ECU Water Resources Center is looking for a dedicated and independent individual to aid in supporting communication and social media activities of its affiliated faculty and students. This position will be 100% remote telework. This employee will be responsible for the production of media content for deployment through social media and the Center website ( The position will be filled as soon as a qualified candidate is identified and is expected to continue through the spring semester.

Responsibilities include:
-Coordinating with faculty, students, and community members to obtain information about projects and activities
-Preparing engaging media content for the public via stories, podcasts, videos, and/or social media posts
-Assisting with website development and maintenance in Wordpress
-Managing social media activities for the Water Resources Center

Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)

Qualifications include:
-Demonstrated ability to produce engaging news stories and digital media
-Experience using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Rush/Pro
-Understanding of effective website design
-Ability to work independently in an unsupervised teleworking environment
-Willingness to actively engage in media content, including conducting interviews
-Strong organizational and writing skills
-Interest in environmental issues related to water is a plus!
