Job Description:The Vander Zanden Lab in the Department of Biology is looking for a lab manager to coordinate various aspects of our research program. Our group is generally interested in questions relating to animal migration and ecology. Most of our samples come from sea turtles, but we have also worked with a variety of other taxa, including birds, bats, and butterflies. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing animal tissue samples for stable isotope analysis
• Creating and managing a results database
• Ordering equipment and supplies
• Coordinating research safety record keeping
• General laboratory maintenance
• Assisting other lab members
• Aiding in sample collection on occasion

Expected Salary:

The salary range is $14.00 - $16.00 per hour, commensurate with qualification and level of experience.

Minimum Requirements:

This position requires attention to detail and ability to follow instructions with a good work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor degree in Biology. Experience with MS Office and MS Outlook.Special Instructions to Applicants:
