Position Summary:

The Division of Enrollment Management is a key campus thought partner that provides collaborative leadership in university-wide efforts, utilizing systematic, innovative, and synergistic approaches to leverage a data-informed enrollment strategy to improve market distinctiveness, and execute the campus strategic plan. The division comprises the offices of Enrollment Management, Financial Aid & Scholarships, University Registrar, and Undergraduate Admissions. The mission of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions is to support and achieve UCI student enrollment goals through practices consistent with the mission and values of the university. The Office seeks to identify, recruit, admit and enroll high-achieving, talented and accomplished students who reflect diverse backgrounds from throughout California, across the United States, and abroad. Manages the operations areas in UGA to achieve the goals of the University of California, Irvine (UCI) for the processing of undergraduate applications, rendering admission decisions, and supporting enrollment targets. Supervises operations and systems support staff and manages the creation of business processes for operations and evaluation. Independently oversees day-to-day operations, and determines goals and performance expectations of subordinates. Makes recommendations on improvements to program / function to manager(s).

Six years of relevant work experience.

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

Demonstrated ability in supervising the work of others and the ability to organize and set priorities that accurately reflect department goals and objectives. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other business software. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to understand and interpret complex documents and data specifications. Demonstrated ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction. Demonstrated ability to utilize critical thinking skills to analyze problems and develop effective solutions. Effective writing and editing skills, including experience developing policy / procedures, reports and presentations. Strong knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs and knowledge of University and departmental principles and procedures involved in risk assessment. Knowledge of human resources management policies with the ability to train, monitor, evaluate, and document human resources issues and performance. Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and ability to manage projects.


Strong understanding of the principles of the California Master Plan of Higher Education; knowledge of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), California Information Practices Act, and California Proposition 209. Experience using Technolutions' Slate CRM and application processing system in a university setting. Advanced knowledge of UC/UCI admission and enrollment requirements, policies and practices. Demonstrated ability to represent UCI and the University of California at public and professional meetings, college advisement programs and other conferences.
