Job Description Summary

The Wangensteen Laboratory is using cutting-edge molecular biology techniques in mouse models to address major knowledge deficits in liver disease mechanisms. We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated scientist with an interest in molecular oncology, immunotherapy, CRISPR/Cas9, high throughput techniques, and in vivo modeling. We aim to recruit a highly ambitious scientist to lead a funded project to discover new therapeutic targets for liver disease and cancer. The ideal candidate will have a PhD or MD with post-doctoral experience and will have a successful background in genomics, signaling, and/or mouse modeling of disease. The project will involve genetic screens using CRISPR/Cas9 technology using methods we have developed in lab, which is leading to a number of impactful publications.
