The Mathematics, Sciences, Technologies, and Business Division (MSTB) at NOVA’s Annandale and Woodbridge Campuses have a need for a part-time instructor to teach General Biology and Anatomy & Physiology. Please make your choice of campus at the supplemental questions.

Duties and Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of a faculty member in the Virginia Community College System shall be to provide quality instruction for the students. The major emphasis shall be on good teaching by working with students in classrooms, laboratories, individual conferences, and related activities—to help the student develop their interests and abilities to their fullest capacity to become a better person, a better worker, and a better citizen. Teach courses in any of the Biological Sciences.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in any of the Biological Sciences or Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in Biology.

Preferred Qualifications

College level teaching experience and/or relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Adept knowledge of instructional technologies. Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills. Ability to work with a diverse student population. Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check is required
