Job Summary: The Social Worker II plans, coordinates, and delivers clinical services to clients at immediate level of complexity.
Additional Department Summary: This person will assist the YSI management team in the development and implementation of programs and projects, including grant proposals, grant reporting, program audits, employee training, the request for proposal process, program evaluation, data collection and research. In addition, this employee will provide clinical services, including assessment and outpatient treatment, for at-risk and court-involved juveniles.This position will recruit and supervise interns for placement at YSI programs.
Required Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of a Master's degree from an accredited school of social work and a minimum of two years of work experience as a social worker. Licensed by the State of Alabama as a Social Worker or the ability to obtain licensure within one year from date of hire. Must have demonstrated skills in supervising professionals who conduct intake interviews, complete assessments of offenders and their families, complete individualized treatment plan. Must possess excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills, including an ability to develop therapeutic alliances among members of program staff at every level. Proficiency in the operation of personal computers. Exceptional verbal, written, planning, and organizational skills. Knowledge of community resources.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier.
Skills and Knowledge: Must have experience in the provision of clinical services to at-risk and court-involved children.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Medicaid billing and HIPAA compliance preferred.
