Director of Library Information and Technical Services
The Director manages the overall administration of the Information Services and Technical support for WCJC Library Services throughout four campuses. The Director is responsible for planning, fiscal management, instructional program implementation, library resources and educational technology development and patron relations with students, faculty, staff and community groups. The Director reports directly to the Vice President of Instruction.
Requirements:Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited institution. Minimum of three years experience as a community college or college/university librarian with evidence of knowledge of current library management practices and experience using technology in an educational or library setting. Minimum of three years of supervisory/administrative experience that includes budget preparation. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated computer literacy that includes knowledge of electronic databases, application of library automation software and digital learning tools. Criminal background check required.
