RESEARCH PROGRAM MANAGER, General Internal Medicine, School of Medicine

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Community Engagement Program to support the smooth delivery of services and timely monitoring and reporting on Program activity
  • Proactively engage key stakeholders and leadership of the CE Program to plan, problem-solve and adapt the CE Program to ensure it meets the needs of community and research stakeholders
  • Use of quantitative and qualitative methods for data collection, monitoring and reporting on CE Program activities and key performance indicators for internal and external reports including Human Subjects review, manuscripts and new grant proposals
  • Develop a comprehensive working knowledge of Boston University’s resources to support data collection, reporting, and information management to support collaboration activities between researchers and community members
  • Prepare reports to facilitate communication of research results to specific audiences (e.g. patients, care providers, decision makers, policy makers, etc) in order for these stakeholders to make informed decisions to improve population health
  • Provide research and administrative support for scientific publications, posters and grants as needed
Required Skills
  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Science, Education or Social Work
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in program management and data analysis
  • Experience in statistical programming such as SAS, STATA, SPSS, R
  • Familiarity with qualitative software such as NVIVO or Atlas.ti
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
  • Working knowledge of research processes
  • Highly organized with ability to work independently, set priorities while managing several projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to clearly tell a story with charts and tables
