Position Highlights:

Multiple research technician positions are open at the Dr. Jun Wang laboratory to participate in our NIH-funded projects on developing antivirals. Candidates with a background in chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, microbiology, or related fielded are encouraged to apply. Candidates who are interested in pursuing higher education in graduate school, medical school, and pharmacy school are particularly welcomed. Prior research experience is preferred but not required. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform organic synthesis and characterization of small molecules, peptides.
  • Develop biochemical assays for different drug targets.
  • Protein expression and purification, molecular cloning.
  • Maintain cell lines and perform cellular antiviral assays.
  • Common lab duties including preparing media and buffers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Highly preferred, Bachelor's degree - Chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, microbiology, biology
