The Schiff Center for Liver Diseases (SCFLD)at the University of Miami School of Medicine has an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). . The SCFLD is seeking a lead APRN to cover Janssen NIH clinical trial.This need is for continuity of care for both outpatient and study patient. The incumbent must be very organized and driven to screen then seek patient’s interest in taking part in a clinical trial. Under the direction of the Administrator and physicians (PI), the APRN will manage assigned studies and mentor and train research team.
This is a full-time regular position with flexible hours (day/night/weekend) to accommodate the need of the study/subject/PI. Must be willing to travel to investigational meetings.The incumbent assists the Monitors and PIs in the organization and preparation of Site Initiation Visits (SIV) and in providing the patients and their families with a thorough description of the research protocol. Attends site group collaborative meetings.

Education Requirements (Essential Requirements):

ARNP license required.

Master's Degree in Nursing

Work Experience Requirements (Essential Requirements):

Minimum of one year of APRN experience

Excellent skills in English (both verbal and written) required. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively with other employees are essential. Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks, plan proactively, and accomplish goals using well-defined instructions and procedures.
