Senior Program Coordinator, Outreach and Data MonitoringTropical Medicine

Location: New Orleans, LA


Key staff position for the COVID-19  Community Research Partnership Study funded by CDC, which enrolls patients in collaborating healthcare networks and uses electronic platforms for study recruitment, informed consent, data collection on enrollment and frequent symptom reports, and extraction of relevant clinical data from the electronic medical record.  Some participants will be selected to be offered COVID-19 antibody testing based on demographic characteristics, and communication about antibody testing and test results will require attention.   This position will be responsible for monitoring study enrollment and working with participating health networks to enhance recruitment and retention.   Platforms used for communication will include social media and the study website, which this staff member will maintain.    This position will also be responsible for basic data management issues in the project, including communication around antibody testing and coordination of data extraction from electronic medical records with local health network staff

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience


  • High School diploma/equivalent and five years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in database and website management 
  • Familiarity with principles of clinical human subjects research
  • Experience with social media platforms
