Postdoctoral Researcher Full-Time Research Assistant/Associate

Job description

This position requires a person to have significant foundational knowledge and experience in the primary research field and complementary research methodologies. The person would largely work independently to perform a range of laboratory activities including complex tasks supporting the research project. This position expects that supervision of research technicians will occur depending on the size of the laboratory.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

he successful candidate will perform the following work and studies:

Assess expression levels of xenobiotic transporters in cells and tissues with Real-time PCR and Immunostaining/Western blot;

Conduct and transporter assays for small molecule drugs;

•Collect, record and analyze project data;
•Write reports, prepare presentations, and write manuscripts
•Train and oversee the work of students and research technicians;
•Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
•Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A Master's or PhD degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology or related field; A bachelor's degree with equivalent experience will also be considered;
• Experience of cell culture, RT-PCR and Immunostaining/Western blot;
• Highly motivated and committed, reliable, responsible, and dependable
• Team player, good oral and written communication skills;
• Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point;

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience of running cell permeability and drug transport assay;
• Knowledge/experience of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and LC-MS/MS

EDUCATION

• A Master's or PhD degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology or related field; A bachelor's degree with equivalent experience will also be considered;

•Research experience required
•Experience of cell culture, RT-PCR and Immunostaining/Western Blot required
