Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Support
Arrupe Alumni in Four Year Colleges and Universities
Work with National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) and LUC Office of Registration and Records as needed to track alumni across numerous variables and follow up individually based on enrollment reports
Ensure appropriate FERPA agreements are in place with students and colleges they attend
Communicate and build collaborative relationships with college administrators and staff who work with Arrupe graduates Identify struggling students to assess their need and recommend possible resources and solutions including academic, social-emotional, familial, financial aid, etc.
Assist in and attend college visits to become familiar with the school environment, culture and support systems offered to Arrupe students
Assist in the enrollment process
Advise alumni and facilitate transfer and re-enrollment as needed
Arrupe Alumni in the Professional Workforce
Work closely with Career Coordinator to continue to provide job placement and skill- building resources, including workshops and career panels
Meet with students struggling to find employment
Data Analysis & Management
Maintain, track and share data findings with all pertinent constituents
Update and provide accurate data to National Clearinghouse to ensure accurate reporting of Arrupe graduation rates
Track college persistence and employment across numerous variables

Outreach
Communicate with alumni through Facebook, Snapchat, LinkedIn, phone calls, and text messages
Plan and execute campus visits to meet with alumni in college
Initiate small symbols of support during finals such as notes of encouragement from Arrupe, small care package, etc.
Plan and execute individual meetings at Arrupe or off-site to check in with students in the workforce
Plan and manage various alumni events, including but not limited to: January Reunion, Career Panel Night, etc.
Publicize internship and job opportunities to alumni in coordination with career coordinator
Send out Arrupe updates and pictures via social media and work with Advancement to ensure that alumni receive Arrupe-specific and LUC alumni newsletters and materials

Other duties as assigned by the Director of College Placement.

*Please note that this position is only funded through June 30, 2021.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required

Qualifications

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with a wide range of individuals and constituencies
o Ability to collect and analyze data; familiarity with NSC data collection and analysis platforms a plus
o Prior successful experience in college counseling and/or college admissions
o Experience in advising and mentoring first generation college students and their families is a plus
o Experience in planning programs and events
o Excellent writing skills
o Great familiarity with how to use social media tools and platforms
o Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
o Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and as a member of a team
