• Provide visionary leadership, management, and supervision for the Offices of: New Student Programs (First Year Experience and Special Populations), First and Second Year Advising, Achieving College Excellence, Learning and Student Success (the Tutoring Center, and the Student Accessibility Center).
•Create and implement a student success framework to support retention and academic support learning initiatives across the University
•Oversee the successful onboarding for all of our new freshman and transfer students through orientation, first year experience programming, and UNIV 101 First Year Seminar course
•Oversee student success and retention initiatives for all students through advising, registration, learning support services and the development of the student’s academic plan
•Facilitate the implementation of the student success platform, EAB Navigate
•Generate innovative student success strategies to foster retention
•Streamline student success communication, advising policies and practices, and support services
•Implement assessment and evaluation recommendations from prior audit
•Identify and facilitate proposals for external funding opportunities (including gift, grant, and sponsored funding)
•Liaison with faculty partners and advising deans across University
•Identify and implement appropriate student learning support systems and other technology for the effective delivery of information, programs and services.
•Working closely with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, identify students who may need supplemental academic support and proactively provide these services.
•Develop and implement student support programs and services for special populations (E.g. Arrupe Continuum Students, Senn Scholars, Cristo Rey Scholars, etc.) including mentoring and other academic support programming.
•Work closely with the schools and college to ensure programs and services are effectively delivered to all of our students including our graduate and professional populations.
•Facilitates the University’s student success and retention strategy through shared vision with SAS and campus partners.
•Work closely with campus partners in Student Development to ensure that curricular and co-curricular programming are in sync to support and develop our students.
•Ensures on-going compliance with applicable federal and state laws.
•Coordinate ongoing review and assessment of all programs and services delivered by Student Academic Services to ensure that these continue to support the university’s retention and graduation rate goals.
•The Assistant Vice Provost will serve on a number of university-wide committees which may include; The Board of Undergraduate Studies, The
Council for Student Success, Rambler Read/ First-Year Convocation Committee, and the Project Review Board ITS.
•Contributes to the overall success of our students by performing these and other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of seven years of leadership experience in student success and retention with experience the development and implementation of student success programing, campus-wide initiatives and academic advising.

•Must have direct experience with academic advising, student retention, and student success initiatives
•Direct experience with faculty engagement is essential
•Ability to effectively work across the university to ensure the effective delivery and implementation of programs that support student success.
