Job Summary

The library student assistant is responsible for a variety of work at the Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History in the Special Collections Division. Duties include describing interviews/collections, data entry, editing/auditing oral history transcripts, digitization and preservation of audio and video, database entry, and other duties as assigned

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Student must have strong writing skills. Careful attention to detail is a must, as well as editing skills, the ability to follow department procedures and policies, and the ability to work without close supervision. Student must maintain a regular work schedule.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? NoPreferred Education/Experience

Basic computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft applications, as well as familiarity with metadata and content management systems such as Blogger, WordPress, and SlideShare.
