Job Summary

The GME Program Coordinator position, under the direct supervision of the specialty Program Director and/or GME Education Specialist, and in consultation and regular collaboration with the DIO or their designee, is responsible for managing the daily administrative activities of the residency program as outlined in the ACGME Institutional, Common Program and Specialty Program Guidelines for Graduate Medical Education.

In addition, the GME Program Coordinator position is responsible for the direct oversight of the administrative and professional responsibilities for all the program residents-in-training on a daily basis.

Will also serve as the primary liaison between the Residency Program Director, chief residents, residents, program faculty, GME Office and affiliated teaching sites concerning residency program matters.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

MS: Excel, Power Point, Word, Publisher, Outlook; ACGME and GME regulation, excellent communication and organizational skills.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? NoPreferred Education/Experience

An Associate’s degree with five or more years of experience in complex administrative role preferred.
Bachelor’s degree plus three or more years in GME residency management preferred.
Knowledge of UME/GME preferred.
