The number of candidates selected and the exact dates of the position(s) will depend upon the teaching needs of the department. The successful candidates will assist the course Instructor with Chemistry and/or Biochemistry labs. They will also grade for the corresponding lecture course(s). This is a temporary, non-benefits eligible position, that may potentially be extended based on the needs of the department.

This is an Extended Temporary Employment (ETE) position.

Duties & Responsibilities
  •  Assist with Chemistry and/or Biochemistry teaching labs.
  • Prepare pre-lab lectures.
  • Grade lab reports and quizzes.
  • Proctor and grade for the lecture course.
  • Assist in tutoring room duties.
  • Assess lab practices of students.
  • Convey safety procedure to students.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience assisting with undergraduate labs.
  • Experience in communicating chemical knowledge to students.
