Sunday-Friday
Varied 7:00 am-3:00 pm with some early morning and weekend hours

Pay Rate$22.00-25.00/hrMinimum Experience/Education

At least one year of experience working in wastewater or environmental monitoring.

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:

At least one year of environmental or wastewater field experience.
•Experience in operating and maintaining water sampling equipment, plumbing, electronics, or other laboratory equipment
•Excellent organizational skills

Duties and Responsibilities

•Follow established laboratory procedures for specimen labeling, handling, preparation
and transportation.
•Process report results to appropriate areas.
•Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility and maintain laboratory documentation.
•Assist in maintenance of equipment.
•Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
•Communicate effectively with laboratory management and other staff members.
•Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
•Conduct quality control and quality assurance testing.
•Perform filtration and RNA extraction from various sample types.
