Job description


The Department of Computer Science at Smith College invites applications for two tenure-track, full-time positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin July 1, 2021. Successful candidates should demonstrate their ability to engage actively with diverse student populations across the liberal arts, the potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching, and the capacity to develop an active research program. Both positions are open to all areas of computer science. For one of the positions we are especially interested in applicants with expertise in systems and hardware.  A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field is expected by the time of appointment.

Located in the vibrant community of Northampton, MA, Smith College is the largest women’s college in the country and is dedicated to excellence in teaching and research across the liberal arts.
