DescriptionThe Marketing Specialist at Temple University’s College of Engineering will be primarily responsible for marketing and advertising project management for the College. The role will work with the Director of Strategic Communications and Marketing serving two primary functions: serve as project manager for incoming marketing and communications requests and projects, including managing student and freelance designers, as well as work with Director on managing advertising campaigns for the College, in concert with the university Strategic Marketing and Communications team to support a strong incoming class of students.
This position will also perform other, related duties as-needed, including executing photography, event support, email design and content creation, database maintenance and partner with Director on social media planning and execution. Those with strong project management skills are encouraged to apply. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, advertising, communications or related field. At least 2 years of experience in a similar position, higher education preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities:* Strong project management and organizational skills oral and written communications skills coupled with strong collaboration and teambuilding skills.* Digital fluency and experience with posting and creating content for social media platforms, as well as posting, analytics and monitoring tools. * Working knowledge of or interest in, executing paid advertising campaigns. * Ability to work creatively to a small, close-knit team on large, college- and university-wide projects. * Eye for design and photography are a bonus, as is experience with Google Analytics and project management tools like Asana. * Evening and weekend work is occasionally required.
