Salary InformationStarting salary: $76,575 (work experience and meeting the desired qualifications listed may be considered in setting a salary above the minimum)
Pay Grade: A6
Analyze and maintain application software by designing, programming, testing and documenting the applications. Provide ongoing support to the users of the applications.
Essential FunctionsDesign and code application programs according to project specifications to ensure consistency with current technology standards and compatibility with existing systems.
Test new and existing application programs and systems to ensure accuracy and completeness of information output.
Understand college practices and software used throughout the college so that effective interfaces can be developed with the current administrative application system.
Verify that the phases in the installation of new application software have been performed successfully and provide assistance in the use of application software.
Prepare documentation of application programs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsAssociate’s degree in computer science, computer information or related and five years of programming experience OR Bachelor’s degree in any area and five years of programming experience OR Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information or related and three years of programming experience.
Programming experience in a relational database environment using SQL and Oracle PL/SQL including packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers and shell programs.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to plan, organize and manage time.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from diverse backgrounds.
Desired QualificationsProgramming experience in Oracle Forms, Pro*C, XML and API’s (application programming interfaces).
Experience using Eclipse integrated development environment.
Experience with Groovy programming language on Grails framework.
Experience with Java programming language.
