Responsible for development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Responsible for the design, development, and daily maintenance of the dynamic web-based secure applications, database management, and administration of wed-based collaboration tools for the College of Medicine. This position will also be responsible for creating and managing informational reports integrated with server-based and standalone databases. Participates directly in code design and implementation to ensure project success.

Identifies, plans, and carries out projects and support services that enhance the productivity of the College of Medicine, increases the flexibility of the automated services, and improves the quality of data. This includes formulating and recommending business and technical policies and procedures, identifying resources, and initiating new automated solutions that apply effective use of progressive technology, creation, and direction of new programs.

Interacts with service community to properly scope projects to address client needs and ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.

Stays abreast of advances in web-based technology and the medical industry.Qualifications Bachelor's degree and four years of experience related to technical services; or a high school diploma/equivalent and experience in the same equal to eight years. (Note: post-high school education may substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)

oKnowledge of and the ability to apply the principles and practices to strategically align tasks and people with organizational goals and objectives.
oExperience communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
oExperience conveying technical information to technical and non-technical users.
oAbility to gather, interpret, report, and/or edit information.
oAbility to prioritize and organize work assignments.
oAbility to train and supervise employees.
oExperience with applicable computer software programs, such as Microsoft Word and Outlook.
oKnowledge of standard programming languages, concepts, practices, and procedures within the technology field, to include: knowledge of MS SQL Server, IIS++ Web Server, Visual
Studio.NET, ASP.NET, Visual Basic, or C#; Java Script, VB Script, T-SQL, Crystal, or SQL Reporting Services; and MS Access.
oKnowledge of web design and development to include the terminology, concepts and techniques associated with web application development.
oExperience with data analysis techniques and methodologies and the ability to develop reports for end users.Preferred •Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to include working in a team environment, as well as independently.
•Knowledge of the principles and practices of project planning, development, and evaluation.
•Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the technology field to include knowledge of database design and administration.
•Knowledge of the concept, principles, and practices of management.
•Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
•Knowledge of information technology security measures.
•Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
