The UVA Division of Nephrology is currently recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our dialysis units and outpatient clinic in Augusta County, Virginia. You will care for patients with end-stage renal disease, both before and while undergoing dialysis, and independently follow and provide routine health care and maintenance to patients with chronic kidney disease in one of our multi-specialty clinic locations. We prefer for you to have at least one year previous experience working in Nephrology.
The Division of Nephrology Clinical Faculty and Fellows provide outpatient consultative care in Charlottesville, Orange, Zion Crossroads, Staunton, and Waynesboro. The Division is located in Charlottesville within UVA Grounds and near the University Hospital. The Piedmont clinic, located in the Pantops area, was opened to improve patient access in Charlottesville. Full-time nephrology faculty members, as well as nephrology fellows, physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers, and nutritionists, provide care each year to over 4,500 individuals with kidney diseases.
In addition to the general nephrology clinic, two subspecialty clinics are established in collaborations with other specialties in Internal Medicine to provide better care to our patient population.

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Degree
Prefer at least (1) year experience working in Nephrology
The incumbent must be a nurse practitioner or PA who is licensed to practice in Virginia or LE.
Experience utilizing a personal computer and computerized scheduling.
