The College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a Program Manager for Assessment and Distributed Learning. Under the supervision of the Director for the College of Arts and Sciences Incubator for Innovative Teaching, this position will manage and oversee assessment activities in the development of distributed-learning courses and programs throughout the college. The employee will provide essential expertise and administrative coordination, working with college leadership, faculty, and staff to promote the University of South Carolina’s vision in excellence in teaching and learning.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Master’s degree and 7 years related program management experience, or bachelor’s degree and 9 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctoral degree in educational technology, curriculum and instruction, or a related field.

1 year of teaching experience at the university level.

Experience developing online courses at the university level.

A strong working knowledge of the assessment process as it relates to course development and programs.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of higher education pedagogy and theories and best practices in online/blended instructional design and teaching. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as excellent organizational and data management skills.
