Pay Grade/Pay Range: 57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 34424.04 Midpoint - $ 50252.76

Department/Organization: 217801 - Rise

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:45am to 3:45pm

Job Summary: The Special Education Teacher provides instruction as well as an appropriate learning environment for children with special needs. Develops and implements individual instructional plans. Communicates with the student's families or guardians. Supervises other classroom staff.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or Early Childhood Development. Experience with administering and interpreting student assessments. A current Teacher Certificate issued by the Alabama State Department of Education OR the ability to obtain a Teacher Certificate issued by the Alabama State Department of Education within six (6) months of employment. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to work with diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree preferred.
