The University of Miami Bascom Palmer Eye Institute (BPEI) ranked the # 1 eye hospital in the country for 19 consecutive years as published in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals has an exciting opportunity for a Director, Nursing - Satellite Operations at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Naples, Florida. The Director for Nursing, Satellite Operations is a key leader responsible for oversight of operational aspects of care delivery to patients receiving ambulatory surgery and outpatient clinic services. Ensures delivery of high quality, safe and efficient care to patients and their families in accordance with regulatory standards. Maintains emphasis on patient experience and service excellence. Areas of oversight: Ambulatory Surgery Center Pre Op Holding, Operating Rooms, PACU, Central Sterile Processing and outpatient clinic nursing operations.

Required Experience and Competencies:Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License and Healthcare Provider BLS Certification are required. PALS and ACLSded.
  • BSN with extensive management experience.
  • Five years recent experience as a clinical director and/or manager at an acute care hospital, clinic or ambulatory surgery center. An appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
  • Certification appropriate to the area of specialty.
  • General experience in academic, multi-specialty institutions, with some knowledge of ophthalmology, is highly desirable
