University of Miami/UHealth Bascom Palmer Eye Institute – Radiology has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse 2. The Registered Nurse will assess the condition of the patient receiving Imaging/IR services, identifying nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, communicating the plan of care, implementing appropriate nursing interventions and documenting and evaluating patient outcomes. Serve as a liaison and educational resource for Imaging/IR Services. Serve as a resource person to other members of the Radiology health care team. Provides care to patient undergoing non-interventional and interventional radiology procedures as per nursing standards, and policies & procedures.

Due to the 24/7 nature of the MRI departments and the services we provide, all Bascom Palmer Radiology Nurses are required to participate monthly in the after-hours on-call rotation at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN required. Valid Florida RN license, BLS/ACLS and PALS required. Minimum of three years relevant experience preferably in critical care and/or emergency department. Must have extensive knowledge of nursing principles, practices and techniques and be knowledgeable in radiology procedures and safety practices. Moderate Sedation and IV certifications preferred.
