Shift: Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Part time schedule also available)
Regular Days Off: Saturday and Sunday (some weekend work required)
Supervision Received: Employee, Covid-19 Response Manager reports directly to the Human Resources Director
Supervision Exercised: None
Salary:$75,000.00-$80,000.00 (Full-Time Annual)

General Statement of Duties:

The Employee Covid-19 Response Manager is responsible for the oversight of employee and Faculty health related to COVID-19 with their key responsibility to assist the university in managing employee health and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Employee Covid-19 Response Manager will be a confidential resource for faculty and staff to discuss COVID-19 illness or exposure. They will manage data related to daily symptom screenings, provide guidance on response to positive screenings, provide supervisors and managers notification of COVID-19 related absences from work and provide medical clearance to return to work. They will also coordinate with departments to ensure appropriate disinfecting procedures are followed, as well as collaborate with the local department of health to ensure timely contact tracing of COVID-19 cases is completed. They will work closely with Human Resources and the Student Health Services Office on risk mitigation strategy. This is a temporary, benefited position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include but not limited to:
Essential:
  • Review data from daily symptom screenings for faculty and staff
  • Follow up on positive symptom screenings to ensure the employee does not come to campus until medically cleared.
  • Confirm medical clearance to return to work and provide supervisor with this confirmation
  • Provide guidance to the employee on next steps to take based on positive symptoms or exposure history.
  • Coordinate emergency transport to hospital with the Dept. of Public Safety or City ambulance when necessary.
  • Prepare and document department daily visit statistics
  • Serves as a liaison between Student Health Services and Human Resources as it relates to asymptomatic testing and results coordination
  • Understands HIPPA compliance and employee privacy laws; maintains strict confidentiality regarding personal and medical information.
  • Attends regular meetings with Emergency Response Team, Testing Team and Recovery Phase Team and reports summaries to the Director of HR.
  • Works with Director of Student Health Services to monitor regional disease trends and to ensure that appropriate measures are taken in response
  • Adhere to departmental and institutional policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Department of Health in regard to contact tracing and to be the employee's primary university contact as needed to ensure appropriate medical follow up.
  • Alert Executive Director of Facilities for the need of COVID cleaning on areas requiring disinfection based on location of the employee on campus.



Requirements:

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Public Health or Bachelor's Degree in Public Health with 5 years of full-time experience in public health or related field
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation {CPR) certification.
  • One or more years of experience working in employee health, occupational health, or infection control or related field
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Must demonstrate a strong work ethic and a high level of morality
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion

Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid licensure as a LPN or RN in the State of Massachusetts.
  • Master's Degree in Public Health
  • Experience in College health a plus.
