Salary: $4,842 - $9,591 monthly

Position Description:
Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, assist in the management of a departmental budget of more than $22 million and assist and advise other HASOM fund managers in tracking and reporting funds relating to the 3 departments (Ethnomusicology, Music, and Musicology) and 1 IDP (Global Jazz Studies). Administer budgets in accordance with UCLA policies and procedures and advise the CFO & Assistant Dean on budget practices. Maintain records, conduct periodic review and prepare budget summaries and projections for internal use. Develop and maintain the data for input into the campus CBIG budget system. Use PAC and FS on line systems to transact school business and review on line transactions of other staff for compliance with policy and best practices. Review EDB/UCPath transactions in connection with budget management and serve as backup DSA for the Chief Financial Officer. Assist School with budget administration and fund management. Provide financial support and fund management for the Theater Group. Maintain databases, spreadsheets and draft reports as assigned. Coordinate departmental fiscal year close. Provide training and guidance on policies and procedures to all departmental fund managers. Serve as the department P-Card holder, and reconcile monthly P-Card transaction in accordance with policy.
