Job Description:

Principle job duties will include Histology/ Microscopy/ Image Analysis, Western Blots, Nucleic acid isolation and analysis, Basic cell culture + animal husbandry + Ordering supplies + Preparing for and responding to safety inspections + Managing general laboratory maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have experience in isolation of RNA and protein extracts; cloning; know how to design PCR primers and perform RT-PCR; research literature relating to experiments; pay attention to detail and be precise; work flexible hours depending on specific experiments; compile and analyze data; and keep complete and precise records, including an up-to-date, organized, legible, and accurate laboratory notebook. Applicants must also possess good math skills, solid basic computer knowledge, use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and an ability to interact and communicate well with others.

Expected Salary:

$14-$16 dollars per hour based on experience and skills.

Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in biology, physiology, Molecular Biology or related field. Appropriate college course work or technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related field. The preferred candidates will have at least one year of bench research.Special Instructions to Applicants:
