DescriptionThe Graduation and Academic Services Coordinator overseas all aspects of graduation processing and student academic program and plan data maintenance in Campus Solutions. Graduation processing includes validation of graduation requirements; awarding academic degrees, gainful employment and course of study certificates; class rank, University of Colorado GPA, dean’s and president’s lists, academic standing, notating licensure/endorsements, and lapse grading. The position is also responsible for both original and replacement diploma orders. Student academic program and plan data maintenance includes processing student academic program and plan changes/updates, and performing multiple daily maintenance queries to ensure that academic program and plan changes being performed outside of the Office of the Registrar are being posted correctly. The position also completes student enrollment and graduation verifications and other duties as assigned.

Job Duties:

  • Execute and process daily PeopleSoft Campus Solutions maintenance queries to validate that student record data changes/updates are accurate and meet posting criteria requirements.
  • Execute and post student program and plan changes in Campus Solutions received via OnBase workflow notification.
  • Process online and paper student enrollment and graduation verifications.
  • Receive, log and process original and replacement diploma orders with vendor. Includes distributing diplomas to students when they are not mailed from the vendor.
  • Validate student academic requirements prior to awarding student degrees using Campus Solutions queries and degree audit functionality.
  • Coordinating, validating, and posting completions for student academic degrees, gainful employmentand course of study certificates in Campus Solutions.
  • Processing undergraduate University of Colorado GPA, class rank, dean's and president's lists, and notating/awarding College of Education licensure/endorsements in Campus Solutions.
  • Processing academic standing and lapse grading (I to F process) in Campus Solutions.
  • Service Indictor management for various registration and academic standing processes.
  • Job Competencies:

  • Knowledge of academic student records including course scheduling and enrollment, grading,academic standing, academic honors, degree audit, and program completion.
  • Knowledge of how to validate graduation requirements based upon the student academic program,plan and sub-plan.
  • Knowledge of undergraduate/graduate academic level requirements for enrollment verifications.
  • Ability to navigate a student system database to perform end-of-term and graduation processes.
  • Strong ability to organize tasks, resolve problems, balance responsibilities, set priorities, and meetdeadlines.
  • Must be capable of simultaneously working on multiple, complex projects independently and with ateam.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, written and verbal communications skills.

  • This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

    Salary Range: Generally Starting at $41,251- $51,564

    QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Two or more years of experience related to student records and student academic support including verification of graduation requirements, program/plan changes, and graduation processing.
  • Two years or more of experience working with students, staff, and educators.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience in higher education
  • Knowledge of People Soft's Campus Solutions
  • Knowledge of degree audit
  • Physical Requirements:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. Employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Tasks may involve looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
