DescriptionThe Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences invites applications for a full­ time, 9-month, non-tenure-track appointment at the Intsructor level with 80% teaching and 20% service. This position is expected to teach 24 credit hours per academic year in our undergraduate program beginning January 2021. The candidate will participate on the undergraduate lead faculty team and the department to facilitate the mission, vision and goals. The faculty member will participate in both internal and external professional service activities, community collaboration, while demonstrating collaborative interests and collegiality in all aspects of faculty engagement. The position may include classroom, online, simulation, and clinical teaching in the undergraduate program primarily in public health nursing and health promotion. The candidate will serve as lead faculty and will be responsible for coordinating all classroom and clinical experiences in the undergraduate public health nursing course.

This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Salary Range: Generally starting at $60,000 - $66,000

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

  • MSN Degree
  • Active unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Colorado, or ability to obtain by date of hire
  • Two (2) years of full time, or equivalent, professional nursing clinical experience related to public health nursing
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous teaching experience in higher education
  • Previous experience with curriculum development and evaluation
  • Previous experience with conducting online teaching
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. Employee is occasionally required to have long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements and fine motor skills. Talking and hearing within normal range. The employee must occassionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
