Provide meal plans or other nutritional guidance for student athletes based on nutritional deficits or specific performance goals. Purchase, store, and distribute nutrition products to student athletes.
Provide individual and team education. Measure, interpret, and effectively communicate body composition results to athletes, support staff, and coaches while adhering to the confidentiality policies set forth by the department. Create and deliver nutrition education materials through various mediums.
Plan and execute special events such as grocery shopping trips and cooking classes.
Assist in the training and mentoring of nutrition student volunteers and interns. Other duties as assignedQualifications Master's degree in Nutrition, Exercise Science, or another related field and one year of sports nutrition experience, or Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or another related field and 3 years of relevant experience.
Experience with Performance nutrition in Collegiate Basketball
Fellowship/SNIP or graduate assistantship position in collegiate settingPreferred Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) or eligible within 1 year.Pay Plan This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.Schedule Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
