Assistant Coach Cross Country/Track & Field – Jumps & Operations

The Assistant Coach for Jumps and Operations is a part time temporary position that will provide support to the Head Coach in all aspects of on-field coaching, player development, academic success, recruiting, film study, practice organization and other duties as assigned within the Athletic Department. Employee may be directed to perform job related tasks other than those specifically delineated in this description.

Responsibilities include:

Assist athletes with academics

 Recruit potential student-athletes for the cross country/track and field team

 Supervise athletes on the cross country/track and field team

 Provide leadership to the cross country/track and field team

 Coordinate a number of activities critical to a successful cross country/track and field program

 Adhere to all university policies, NCAA By-Laws and Conference policies (SIAC).

Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 1 year of coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level. Must have experience with student athlete jumpers. Needs to be comfortable with recruiting. Ability to
establish yearly coaching strategies. Candidate must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office. Successful candidate is also required to pass the coach’s recruiting examination and have knowledge of NCAA By-Laws.
