The project manager will be responsible for both strategic planning and day to day management of a complex and broad range of projects conducted with collaborators both internal and external to Penn. The position will support two Principle Investigators (PIs), and will be mentored by the Associate Director for Community Health.Job Description
The Project Manager will support two Principal Investigators and project teams across two projects: 1.) the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, Get Healthy Philly project, Innovative State and Local Public Health Strategies to Prevent and Manage Diabetes and Heart Disease and Stroke; and 2.) the Pennsylvania Department of Health Interventions to Minimize Preterm Birth and Low Birthweight Infants through Continuous Improvement Techniques (IMPLICIT) Network. The Project Manager will be responsible for the management of resources and timelines to meet project milestones, administration of the project infrastructure, oversight of project-wide communications, and development of pertinent stakeholder relationships. In addition, the Project Manager will monitor project schedules and flow and will facilitate the continuous integration of all project efforts. The Project Manager will coordinate the development and maintenance of procedures that have an impact in all facets of the project; establish and maintain collaborative relationships with administrators, faculty, and staff to advise, facilitate, and/or train in the essential elements of the program; oversee the operations of support staff supervision, records management and meeting coordination and documentation of project activities; ensure program compliance with funding regulations, University policies, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements, and prepare regulatory reports; monitor operating cost; and prepare progress and financial reports. The Project Manager will coordinate, oversee, and participate in scheduled project meetings related to the proposed milestones. Finally, the Project Manager must have the capacity for additional training and skill-building in EPIC patient lists, dashboards, and other data platforms describing and analyzing population-level data. The position is contingent upon funding.
