    Maintains standards of professional nursing practice and coordinates care for employees and students with consideration of their specific age needs.  Provides leadership by working cooperatively with other health care professionals. Responsibilities include but not limited to: triage, assessment, coordination of testing and care/treatment focusing on the promotion and restoration of health, prevention, injury and protection from work and environmental hazards.


    1.    Current Nursing licensure, LPN required in the State of Ohio.

    2.    BLS required. 

    3.    Specialty certification preferred.

    4.    Must be willing to rotate shifts and units.

    5.    May be required to assume charge nurse role.

    6.    Must be able to function autonomously utilizing on-site training and demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills, self-motivation, clinical confidence and computer competence. 

    7.    Physical requirements:

    a.      visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when applicable;

    b.      ability to hear (with or without aides)

    c.       ability to orally communicate

    d.      good manual dexterity

    e.      ability to push, pull, roll, and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally

    f.        ability to stand, walk frequently

    g.      ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel frequently; and

    h.      ability to perform CPR.

    Working Conditions:Working conditions include but are not limited to an environment of high stress where exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other infectious agents, unpleasant odors, limited space, dust and fumes, variations in environmental temperature, hazardous chemicals, loud noise, radiation risk, laser exposure, physically demanding workloads, heavy lifting of at least 30 pounds but often more. Many repetitive activities and motions such as bending, standing and walking for extended periods of time are required. Some risk of verbal, physical and emotional aggression may be experienced.
