About This Position

The John P. Hussman Institute for Human Genomics (HIHG) at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Research Associate 2. Departmental responsibilities for this position are primarily oriented around our study of early-onset Alzheimer disease. The candidate will be responsible for the enrollment of participants, the collection of participant information and samples, and in analysis of participant enrollment approaches and related data. The candidate will be responsible for development and implementation of outreach strategies, including interactions with national and international collaborators, and local, regional, and national-level foundations, support networks, and patient advocacy groups. The candidate will be responsible for developing, writing, implementing, and updating clinical research protocol, particularly concerning online, virtual ascertainment. The candidate will also be responsible for educating other clinical research personnel about such protocols. The candidate will maintain up-to-date information on enrollment, active participants, and status of ongoing outreach efforts. The candidate will supervise other clinical research staff, including daily tasks and priorities, broad guidance on strategy and career development, and mentorship. The candidate will ensure that all protocols and assessments are in compliance with IRB guidelines, as well as other relevant University policies and procedures. The candidate will participate in the preparation of research clinical publications and research reports and in dissemination of results through publications and conference participation, in collaboration with principle investigators.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Degree in a basic science or health administration discipline with at least one year of relevant experience. Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data. Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems. Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
