POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW, Molecular and Cell Biology Department at Boston University Medical Campus
Tracking Code2445 Job DescriptionDr. Andrea Geisz in the Molecular and Cell Biology Department at Boston University Medical Campus is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to join her team. Dr. Geisz’s research is aimed at understanding the mechanistic basis of pancreatitis development, specifically how various proteases and their inhibitors in the pancreas contribute to the pathogenesis of pancreatitis. The successful candidate will work on developing preclinical mouse models of acute and chronic pancreatitis driven by human mutations in mouse digestive proteases.
Required skills:
- PhD in Molecular Biology or Cell Biology or related fields
- Extensive hands-on experience in molecular, cell biological, and animal model techniques
- Sound verbal and written communication skills, excellent record-keeping skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive and develop research projects independently
Salary will follow the NIH guidelines, based on years of experience.
