The candidate will teach courses in criminal justice both lower and upper level classes. The candidate must possess 3-5 years of experience in academia or 5 years in the field of Law Enforcement.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Teaching workload of 15 semester hours and the preparation of classroom instruction

2. Provide students assistance including advising

3. Participate in any duties performed in the department including assessment, curriculum review and development

4. Attend university functions, including commencement, convocation, and faculty committee, and departmental meeting

5. Candidate must engage in continuing scholarship and professional development, including professional publications, conference presentations and grant writing. Candidate must also contribute to professional organizations and the professional growth of the university

6. Candidate must demonstrate teaching experience commensurate to the level of appointment

7. Must be able to work with a diverse body of students Training and Experience: PhD. D. in Criminal Justice or any related field with professional experience and scholarship within the field of Criminal Justice. The candidate must show evidence of teaching excellence and research agenda. The candidate must be able to apply and integrate technology and software in teaching.
