Posting DetailsPosting Number: 0601157 Position Category: Asso/Asst Director Div/Dept AD Job Title: Associate Director of Financial Aid of Compliance Position Code: 00310X Position Type: Staff Department: Financial Aid Nature of Work: The Associate Director of Financial Aid of Compliance is responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to effectively review, evaluate, update and audit all aspects of the Federal Student Aid program as well as other practices related to Financial Aid and Albany State University policy. Identify and monitor essential metrics, reports, and key indicators that align with trainings and feedback to maintain compliance with federal guidelines and are consistent with best practice in the industry. Serve as policy expe1t, training facilitator and communications liaison throughout the University with regards to Financial Aid, and Title IV regulations. This role will facilitate, suppo1t, and provide guidance in ensuring compliance to policies, practice, publicĀ­ facing content, and adherence to Training and Experience: MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
*Bachelors Degree from Accredited University.
*5-7 years of Financial Aid Experience.
Knowledge of:
Leadership/Management principles;
*Accounting and financial management principles; Financial aid and grant principles and practices; Strategy development principles and procedures;
*Applicable federal, state, institutional and local laws, rules, and regulations; University System of Georgia policies and procedures;
Banner financial aid module;
*Program development and administration principles and practices; Project management principles;
*Assigned department operations and functions; Customer service principles;
*Public relations principles.

Skill in:
Monitoring and evaluating employees; Prioritizing and assigning work; Providing leadership;
Effectively supervising the productivity and efficiency of employees; Using computers and related software applications;
Managing projects;
Managing multiple priorities simultaneously; Analyzing and developing policies and procedures;
Ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations; Interpreting and applying applicable laws, rules, and regulations;
Analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, projecting consequences of proposed actions, and implementing recommendations in support of goals;
Resolving conflict;
Preparing and administering budgets; Managing change and sensitive topics;
Planning, analyzing, and evaluating programs and services, operational needs, and fiscal constraints;
Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

Abliity to:

Work in fast paced environment while paying close attention to detail, to prioritize work load to maintain high level of customer service both inside and outside the University and stay current on all federal, state and NCAA Division I regulations are crucial;

Maintain confidentiality regarding student and institutional files;
