Your opportunity:

Information & Instructional Technology Services (I&ITS) is a high-volume service delivery operation, processing over 15,000 incident, change, and service requests annually, and is the principal/primary support for the teaching, learning, and research mission at UTM. We are recruiting IT professionals who will enthusiastically contribute to the pursuit and execution of I&ITS’ three priorities of client-centricity, administrative and operational excellence, and team cohesion.

As a Business Analyst, you will be on the front line for new project intake, working with a range of clients, project managers, and subject matter experts. You will collaborate on the launch, support, and maintenance of core operational systems and business processes, both cloud, and on-premises. You will be the critical link translating user and project business needs into technical solutions and services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Influencing and identifying unarticulated business needs
  • Working with clients to develop solutions that help them realize their business goals
  • Planning the implementation of solutions that grow or transform their business
  • Writing complex specifications based on client needs
  • Project planning, tracking, and execution
  • Providing advice and data to support the development of business cases and analytics for departmental initiatives
  • Product research and environmental scans for solutions and products that meet our client needs


Assets (Nonessential):

  • ITIL foundations level (or higher) certification
  • Familiarity with Lean process design
  • PMP, CBAP or similar PMI/IIBA credentials
  • Previous working experience in an Agile environment
  • Experience working with the ServiceNow platform
