Hiring Department Postdoctoral Position in Computer-Aided Drug Design University of Missouri-St. Louis The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Missouri-St. Louis invites application for a postdoctoral position in computer-aided drug design. The postdoctoral fellow will develop a web application for drug discovery, perform molecular simulations to study protein kinases and their interactions with drugs, or to simulate drug-binding kinetics. A Ph.D. degree in science is required. Experiences on molecular simulation of protein-ligand complexes and on scientific programming are useful. Responsibilities

Develop, test, and apply methods of computer-aided drug design.

Expectations

  • At least one publication in a major scientific journal each year on average.
  • Keep good records on the fine details of the execution of research projects
  • Write progress reports at least once a quarter
  • Participate in group meetings

Minimum QualificationsPhD in a scientific discipline with a publication record on computer-aided drug design or a closely related field. Be able to write or modify complex computer programs using languages such as Python, C, or C++ Annual Salary$45,000
