DATA MANAGER Position – LaBar lab, Center for Cognitive Neuroscience, Duke University
This position is 100% grant funded for one year, with the possibility of renewal.
The LaBar lab at Duke University seeks a talented data analyst to facilitate data management and statistical analysis of human subjects research on the cognitive neuroscience of emotion.
The position is supported by NIH-funded grants on emotion regulation and neurocomputational approaches to emotion representation in the brain. State-of-the-art facilities include multimodal psychophysiology and research-dedicated 3T MRI scanners at Duke’s Brain Imaging and Analysis Center.
This position will involve database management, coordination of data across on- and off-site registries, and statistical analysis of behavioral, fMRI and psychophysiological data. Additional duties will be maintaining the server/ computer equipment/ psychophysiology lab equipment in my lab, Maintaining and updating the lab website, managing integration of our psychophysiology equipment with the MRI scanner at BIAC and Computer programming to interface our behavioral paradigms with the psychophysiology equipment.
Education: Work requires an Associates in Computer Science or equivalent technical training, or non-technical Bachelor degree. data science or related computational fields, and expertise in analysis of human psychological or neuroscience data are prerequisites; experience with machine learning tools is desirable.
