Salary Information

$25.00 per hour

Job Summary

Provide financial accounting and reporting support associated with the College’s federal, state, private and locally funded grant programs and contract agreements.

Essential Functions

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for assigned grant and contract agreements

Create and update accounting worksheets

Assemble and organize supporting documentation for financial claims to grant sponsors

Invoice grant sponsors

Review, interpret, and apply federal grant requirements to expenditures

Collaborate with Special Funds Accountant on special projects, as needed

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with accounting coursework and two years of grant experience; Associate’s degree and four years of accounting or grant experience; or six years of accounting and grant-related experience

Financial software applications experience (e.g. Banner, Colleague, Kuali, Workday)

Experience working with federal, state, or private grants

Excel skills including linking, subtotaling, filtering, and grouping data within worksheets

Aptitude for analyzing financial data

Federal and state reporting experience

Strong communication skills

Exceptional organizational and time management skills

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related business field

Higher education experience

Compliance experience with the Uniform Guidance 2 CFR 200

Work Schedule

The duties of this position will mostly be performed remotely, but a portion of the work will be performed on-campus on a week to week basis. Hours are to be determined.
