The UGA Facilities Management Division is the largest of 7 divisions reporting to the Vice President for Finance and Administration. Preferred QualificationsPosition Summary

This position is responsible for performing all Class B CDL skilled work in the operation of heavy equipment using front/rear loader and roll off hook trucks for waste and recycle collection on campus. Responsibilities also include coordinating and executing collection routes for both Solid Waste and Recycling and ensures that work is completed both safely and correctly. Work assignments are received in general outline either verbally, electronically or in writing and are performed under general direction of the shop Foreman.

•Have a good safety record.
•Applicant will follow an appropriate dress code for working conditions around the University campus.
•Applicant will have prior related work experience.
•Operate equipment such as front loader truck, roll off truck, rear load truck and dump truck.

Physical Demands

• Stoop, bend, and squat and lift 50 to 100 lbs., throughout the workday.
• Perform duties under adverse climatic conditions.

Duties/Responsibilities

Performs all Class B CDL operations and is capable of driving all trucks pertaining to solid waste and recycling collection on campus. Also assist in department driver training of new and current drivers in all trucks on collections routes.
