The primary responsibility of this position is to conduct outreach andfollow up on prospective student inquiries. This position requires asignificant amount of phone work. This position works closely with StrategicDevelopment to implement effective outreach strategies.


Provide first phone outreach to prospective student inquiries receivedvia e-mail, web forms, contact cards, etc. within 1 business day of receivingthe inquiry.

Conduct regular follow up calls to students as they move through thesteps to getting started.

Conduct re-engagement calls for students who have not yet enrolled.

Maintain regular communication with designated prospects as determinedby the CRM.

Enter outreach notes and student information into the CustomerRelationship Management (CRM) system.

Assist with maintaining open task lists related to prospectivestudents in the CRM.

Assist with re-assignment of prospects as they move through theenrollment funnel.

Provide walk-in new student advising coverage..

Maintain general knowledge of college activities, programs andrequirements with the ability to refer inquiries to the
appropriate personnel.

Assist with the planning and implementation of recruitment events as needed..

Assist with the department’s direct mail and tele-counselingactivities as needed.

Serve as a representative of the college at community and districthigh school events as needed.

Assist with coordinating phone call lists and other tasks for StudentAmbassadors.

Assist with the Gustafson Scholarship program activities as needed.

Assist with providing front desk phone and student intake coverage as needed.

Assist with office administrative tasks as needed.

Provide walk-in advising coverage at extension campuses as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

A. Bachelor’s degree in related field required.

B. Minimum two years related experience in the education field, including work with minority and/or adult populations.

C. Excellent communication, organizational and human relations skills.

D. Outstanding phone and e-mail etiquette.

E. Familiarity with CRM systems, data entry for updating student records and other student service/computer software.

F. Valid Illinois driver's license required.

G. Spanish/English bilingual ability is desirable, but not required.

H. Ability to work one evening per week and occasional weekends as required.
