Temporary Part-Time Jr. Specialist for 2020-2021
Professor Belinda Campos’ Culture, Health and Relationships Laboratory is seeking a curious, motivated, and highly organized individual to work as a Lab Manager and assistant to Professor Campos. The Lab Manager will carry out general lab management duties and work directly with Professor Campos to assist on research related tasks. Lab management duties include but are not limited to maintaining and regularly updating the lab website, maintaining lab equipment, maintaining the lab calendar and other shared resources, setting up for meetings, coordinating group activities, and working with all laboratory members to ensure that study needs are met. Assistant duties include but are not limited to literature reviews, data cleaning and organizing, as well as assisting in the creation of materials for the laboratory, research studies, and IRB. The ideal candidate will be patient, eager to learn, resourceful, poised, and comfortable balancing various responsibilities at a time.
Salary and rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
Requirements: Applicants must possess a baccalaureate degree, at minimum, by date of employment. Knowledge of MS Office programs, graphic arts, psychophysiology (e.g., EKG) and/or statistical programs (e.g., SPSS) is desired but the most important qualities are willingness to learn and the ability to quickly pick up new knowledge. The ability to work both independently and as a member of a team is key.
